The Full Story
About
Hi, I’m Heather.
At 45, life handed me a plot twist I never saw coming—Stage 2B, Grade 3 invasive ductal carcinoma.

What followed was a journey through chemotherapy, surgeries, radiation, and hormone therapy. There were days of fear, exhaustion, and grief—and days of grace, grit, and unexpected growth.

Out of that journey came Grace Grit and Pink Ribbons, a space for women navigating life after breast cancer. This is where I share the realities of breast cancer survivorship: the messy middle, the ongoing healing, and the beauty that can still rise from brokenness.

“Healing doesn’t always mean done—sometimes, it means becoming.”

This isn’t just my breast cancer story—it’s a place for cancer survivor stories, practical resources, and encouragement to remind you that healing is possible even when it doesn’t feel linear.

I’m still in it—continuing with hormone therapy, preparing for more surgery, and learning daily what it means to rebuild life after treatment.
My hope is that my words, reflections, and resources will feel like a warm hand in yours as you walk your own road to healing.

Mission
My mission is to create a safe, supportive space for women navigating life after breast cancer.
Through stories of survivorship, practical resources, and gentle encouragement.
I aim to help women:
-
Heal at their own pace
 -
Rebuild life after treatment
 -
Find hope and resilience in the everyday.
 -

Because breast cancer survivorship isn’t just about surviving—it’s about becoming.
Vision
My vision is a world where no woman feels alone in her survivorship journey.
Where cancer survivor stories light the path forward, and where healing after breast cancer is embraced as a whole-body, whole-soul process.

Grace Grit and Pink Ribbons exists to remind women everywhere that healing is not a straight line—but with honesty, creativity, and community, we can rise again.
